JEM AND THE HOLOGRAMS – Regine Cesaire Doll Review

Today we review the Regine Cesaire doll made by Integrity Toys. Regine is from only one episode in season 3 of the Jem and the Holograms tv series that aired back in the 80′s (and now on The Hub Network). This doll is gorgeous! We think she is the best one out of the latest wave. We only had one flaw…her outfit did not fit tight to the body. That’s it…everything else was fine. The hair color and skin tone is very complimentary to the doll. Nicely done Integrity…this was a hit! 🙂

Here’s Elio’s Review:

So what do you think? Did any of you get her? Was she as much of a surprise to you that Integrity Toys made her as she was to us? Let us know in the comments below.

JEM AND THE HOLOGRAMS – Clash Montgomery Doll Review

Today we review the Clash Montgomery doll made by Integrity Toys. Clash is from the Jem and the Holograms tv series that aired back in the 80’s (and now on The Hub Network). This doll was something that many people wanted because of the “quick switch” technique that Integrity Toys made. But she uses the 2.0 version…even better. She comes with 3 different heads: her purple hair on one, orange and teal one the second, and her “1st disguise” face that she used.

Now we must say that while it’s great to have her with they different heads… 3 is too many, or at least the 3rd head that Clash came with was a bad choice. We think she should have cam with 2 and another outfit. Maybe she should have came with the “evil Jem” face and outfit. Now THAT would have made her more appealing. The 3rd head that she comes with screams Kimber Benton with blonde hair….and to us, is NOT a good thing!

Here’s Elio’s review:

So what are your thoughts? Do you like Clash? Do you thinks he should have came with a different head or more clothes? Let us know in the comments below.

S.H.Figuarts Sailor Mercury Figure Review

Today we take a look at the S.H. Figuarts Sailor Mercury figure, also know as Ami Mizuno. This is the second figure released (the first being Sailor Moon) and bot this figure is awesome! We do love her multiple facial expressions and different set of hands. Too bad Tamashii Nations didn’t have Mercury come with her “Mercury Bubble Spray/Blast” effect piece, that would’ve been awesome!

Sailor Mercury also comes with her super computer and a facial attachment that have the visor as well. Nice touch Tamashii Nations!!

Here’s the review:

Now we will be reviewing Sailor Mars next as she has already released this month. Sailor Venus releases in May and Sailor Jupiter releases in August. Then Tamashii Nations will release Sailor Saturn (the 1st of the 4 outer Sailor Senshi). Can’t wait to see Sailor Pluto and Sailor Chibi Moon! 🙂

Which Sailor Scouts do you want to see? The Sailor Starlights? Queen Beryl, Tuxedo Mask/Takishido Kamen? Let us know in the comments below!

Sailor Moon Figuarts Zero Review

She’s here!!! This is the Tamashii Nations Sailor Moon Figuarts Zero pvc figure. What’s different about the S.H. Figuarts and the Figuartz Zero is that the Zero figures are in a fixed pose. This is great if you are looking for a awesome signature action pose without the joints of the figure showing. We love this figure and cannot wait for the rest of the sailor scouts to release. We already seen a few pictures of Sailor Venus and Sailor Mercury (pictures are on our facebook: https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=754184644594081&set=a.395971040415445.103424.395349453810937&type=1&theater and https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=754184861260726&set=a.395971040415445.103424.395349453810937&type=1&permPage=1 and they look amazing. Only complaint about this figure is the base, It should have been a solid color and not transparent where you can see the connection of the pieces. Other than that, nothing else is bad.

Here’s the video:

So what do you think Sailor Mars and Jupiter will look like? It would be awesome to see Mars doing the Celestial Fire and Jupiter doing the Thunder Clap or Supreme Thunder move. Here’s hoping they continue to do all of the sailor scouts!

Saint Seiya: The Lost Canvas (Mid Season Review)

Image

This is our mid season review. We are on episode #14 now and just wanted to talk about what we think of the anime so far.  We are watching this anime of Crunchyroll.com which is a perfect place to watch simulcast anime as well as older anime. So without any spoilers (if you haven’t seen it so far) here we go.

Story

The story centers around mainly 3 people: Alone (reincarnation of the God Hades), Tenma (The Sliver Pegasus Saint) and Sasha (reincarnation of the Goddess Athena). This is happening during the first Holy War in the 18th century, I believe around 200 to 250 years before the original Saint Seiya storyline.

So far we had drama from the 1st episode, with Alone realizing, thanks to Pandora, that he’s the the “perfect vessel’ for Hades. With Temna, he unlocks his power known as Cosmo, and saves his village from a flood and sets off to become a Saint of Athena. Flash forward 2 years and everyone is in their rightful place….which bring us to the other Saints.

There are 88 different Saints in this anime however, we have not seem them all…as of yet. So far the Saint that I like the most is Pisces Albafica and Virgo Asmita. Pisces and his Blood Rose move is amazing.  But anyway,I won’t go into any more details on the story without spoiling anything. The spoilers and recaps will come after the the overall review of this anime.

The animation is wonderful. I love the coloring and backgrounds when the Saints uses their powers, very Sailor Moon transforming. The music is so fitting to the anime and really sets the mood for each scene. The opening title sequence is sung in English and is VERY catchy lol and the ending sequence is very calming for the action and drama that is in the anime.

Well, back to the anime. I will be back to do a full review of this anime. Until then…later!! (Mike)

Anime: “Sword Art Online ” Review

Image

We went into this anime with no expectations, hope for the best…expect the worst. But the anime turned out be to extremely good. very good story, nice character development, and all around great animation. This is an anime that is based off the manga of the same name.

Without going into too many details or spoilers, the story is set in the year 2022 and is about a brand new virtual reality MMORPG game called SOA (Sword Art Online). Like every game, people are trying it for the first time and all of the players discovered that they are unable to log out of the game. Then the creator of the game appears and states that if the players die in the game, then they will die in the real world. And the only way to log off and come back to the real world is to reach the 100th floor and defeat the final boss.

The story basically revolves around the characters Asuna and Kirito. Both characters are quite powerful and they fall in love and even have a kid together (years pass in the game…long story on the child).  There are 2 arcs to the 25 episode anime. The first is the SOA arc and the second is the ALfheim Online arc.

I really don’t want to go into details on the story (people don’t like spoilers) but I will say this: If you like MMORPG’s, then you will love this anime. It really gives you that vibe of playing a game, from the pop up menus next to the characters, to the skill sets of cooking, killing monsters and level grinding! Watching this anime will put you in the mood to turn on the PC and start paying a MMORPG. Heck, this game really put us in the mood to play Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn when it releases next year(But right now I’m playing Guild Wars 2)!

Anyway, we highly recommend watching this anime. They have is available on crunchyroll.com (great place for anime). Tell us what you think about it, we would love to hear your thoughts!
