Today we review the second doll in Barbie Collector’s Faraway Forest series: Lady of the White Woods. This doll is a highly anticipated doll in the series and unfortunately she does not meet the standard that the first doll (Faraway Forest Elf) has set. The quality of the dress is just cheap and not worth the $100.00. The quality of the dress is as cheap as the “Birthday Wishes 2015 Barbie”. The makeup screening is also different from the prototype which looks very tired and sad.
The dolls shoes are very well done and we would like to see more things like this on other fantasy dolls. The crown and gauntlets are cheaply done. It’s sad to say…but this doll is a complete pass! She’s not worth it and a sad addition to this new series that many were happy to have. No we must worry if Mattel can redeem this with the third (and possibly final) doll in the series or if it’s going to just go downhill from here.

Today we review the 3rd doll in the Global Glamour series, the Mutya Barbie Doll by Mattel. This is the first high end Filipino doll. She was designed by Carlyle Nuera, who is new to designing the Barbie Collector line for Mattel.
We do have two major issues right when we see her. Her makeup is too heavy and her eyes are too big. The eyes are very animated looking and are even painted larger than the eye socket mold. While we are happy to see the Kira sculpt used, the eye screening doesn’t fit it. Other than that, the doll is very well made and doesn’t have any glue in the head at all.
