Elio’s How To: Recreate Fan Bingbing Barbie Hairstyle

Some people requested to know how Elio restyled the Barbie Mattel Fan Bingbing doll’s hair to look like how the actress had at the red carpet. Well, as requested this video was made for you. Here is a step by step tutorial on how to recreate that exact style.

So what do you think? What dolls are you going to try this doll on? Let us know in the comments below.

Elio’s How To: Curl Doll Hair

Many have asked how Elio curl his doll hair. Some people don’t know he uses a hair dryer. Well here’s the video on how he gets his doll’s hair curly.

No, Elio doesn’t do the “boil perm” as he feels that it damages the hair. Most people have to cut some hair after the boiling.

So what do you think? What other styling would you like to see? Let us know in the comments below.

S.H.Figuarts Sailor Mercury Figure Review

Today we take a look at the S.H. Figuarts Sailor Mercury figure, also know as Ami Mizuno. This is the second figure released (the first being Sailor Moon) and bot this figure is awesome! We do love her multiple facial expressions and different set of hands. Too bad Tamashii Nations didn’t have Mercury come with her “Mercury Bubble Spray/Blast” effect piece, that would’ve been awesome!

Sailor Mercury also comes with her super computer and a facial attachment that have the visor as well. Nice touch Tamashii Nations!!

Here’s the review:

Now we will be reviewing Sailor Mars next as she has already released this month. Sailor Venus releases in May and Sailor Jupiter releases in August. Then Tamashii Nations will release Sailor Saturn (the 1st of the 4 outer Sailor Senshi). Can’t wait to see Sailor Pluto and Sailor Chibi Moon! 🙂

Which Sailor Scouts do you want to see? The Sailor Starlights? Queen Beryl, Tuxedo Mask/Takishido Kamen? Let us know in the comments below!

Dulcissima™ Barbie® Doll Review

Today we review the Barbie Silkstone Dulcissima doll. This doll is designed by Robert Best., who does all of the Silkstone dolls. She released on April 1st and is one of the most requested dolls for us to review this month since she has been sneaked.

Personally we like the boots a lot! The outfit has snaps instead of Velcro, which is great considering it would have taken away from this doll. This doll have quite a few layers to her clothes (must be cold in Italy) so the dolls seems heavier than other Silkstone dolls. Dulcissima has lower eyebrows which is different from the normal arched or “snatched” face Silkstone dolls have. This is a great this to have variety in the Silkstone doll since they use the same face sculpt.

Here’s Elio’s review:

So what are your thoughts? Could this doll be more “severe” in her overall look? Are you excited for the next Silkstone in the wedding dress (head over to our Facebook page to see the pic: coming soon? What other dolls would you like to see review? Let us know in the comments below! 🙂

Fan Bingbing Barbie Doll Review

Today we review the Asian Market Exclusive Barbie Collector Doll….Fan Bingbing! This is China’s superstar made into a 12 inch doll by Mattel. Fan BIngbing has done it all, from acting, modeling and even singing, so why shouldn’t Mattel make a doll of her?

Fan is stunning in the recreation of the Dragon Robe mermaid gown she wore on the red carpet by the fashion designer Laurence Xu . This doll does not come with any jewelry, which would have been nice for her to have the same jewelry she was wearing in real life. But other than that…this doll is perfect.

Here’s Elio’s review:

So what are you thoughts, do you think the doll should have come with the jewelry that Fan was wearing on the red carpet? Or is she fine the way she is? Do you think Mattel should have released the doll worldwide? What other Asian celebrity dolls you think Mattel should make (Michelle Yeoh….*fingers crossed*) Let us know you thoughts below.

Please note this doll is only sold in the Asian market. the only way to get her is to buy her on eBay or if you know someone on Asia. So happy hunting! 🙂

Zuhair Murad Barbie Doll Review

Today we are taking a look at the new Zuhair Murad designer doll from Mattel. This doll is a beautiful doll. Her dress is better in person than in the prototype picture. It has a shine to the glitter on the gown. Her facial screening and hairstyle is very reminiscent of the Pinch of Platinum Barbie doll that Mattel released back in 2011. This is the same designer that did the Jennifer Lopez dress (in white….almost the same design) which a doll was also made.

There are a couple of flaws to this dolls, which are VERY small. We do wish the doll’s nails were painted. Yes, the prototype does not have any painted nails, but a French manicure can go a long way! And the other flaw is the glitter on the dress…it will get EVERWHERE!! Hope Mattel will figure out a way to have the glitter on some clothes without it coming off or getting everywhere. Other than those two things, this doll is a great buy for $75.00. Here’s the link to purchase her:

Here’s Elio’s review…

So what are your thoughts on the new doll? Is this a keeper? Would you prefer a her nails painted? Do you like her hair color? Let us know in the comments.
